The basswood feels really sturdy and smooth, and the painted Halloween designs are crisp without any smell. My kids have been stacking and spelling with them non-stop since the box arrived, and I love that they’re made in the USA.
The little ghosts and pumpkins on the blocks are so detailed my toddler actually stops to point at them before knocking everything down. They're solid enough that I don't worry about them getting dented, and the wood has that clean, subtle smell you only get from something well-made.
The letters are carved deep enough that my toddler can trace them with her fingers while we spell out "BOO" together. The basswood is smooth and sturdy, and I love that these are made in the USA — they'll definitely last through many Halloweens.
