The basswood feels lovely and smooth in hand, and the painted planets are vibrant enough to catch my four-year-old’s attention for a full hour of sorting and stacking. Knowing they're made in the USA from sustainable wood makes me feel good about leaving them out on the playroom floor.

My toddler grabbed these first thing this morning and hasn't put them down since—the printed planets are so vivid, and the basswood has that lovely, clean smell you only get with real wood. They're light enough for her to carry around the whole house, which is a bonus.
