The basswood feels substantial in hand, and the painted Greek gods are clear enough for my 6-year-old to recognize Hercules before reading the label. I appreciate that each block is printed in the USA, and the set has held up through daily castle builds without a single chip.

My 4-year-old can spend forever stacking these while I quiz her on which god is which. The pictures and names printed right on the wood make it so easy to turn playtime into a mini history lesson.

The basswood blocks are surprisingly smooth and sturdy, and the painted Greek gods are crisp enough for tiny fingers to trace. We've already used them to build temples and tell stories, and I love that they're made in the USA.
